TikiType's typing test runs in the browser with no download. Students type a short passage and see their words per minute (WPM) and accuracy right away.
How the typing test works
Pick a 15, 30 or 60 second test and start typing — the timer begins on the first keystroke. At the end you'll see typing speed, accuracy and the keys that caused the most mistakes.
Building keyboard skills
Short, regular practice helps students learn touch typing. After a test, Drill Lab can create typing exercises focused on missed keys, and Endurance mode helps build steady, accurate typing over longer stretches.
Leaderboards and Ranked matches are optional. Students can practice entirely on their own.
What is a good typing speed for kids?
Speeds vary a lot by age and experience. Instead of chasing a number, focus on accuracy and steady improvement from one week to the next.
