How Ranked works
Races hold up to three players. We look for real players near your Elo first, widening the search the longer you wait. To keep queues fast, empty seats may be filled by a verified recorded run from a real player or by a computer-controlled opponent that types at the pace of its assigned Elo.
Results against recorded runs and computer opponents count for less Elo than results against live players, so the ladder stays fair. Your first 5 matches are placements: we start from your typing speed, your rating moves quickly, and it stays hidden until placements finish. Every player gets the same mix of short, medium and long passages.
